Buddha & Human Right

According to the Buddha teaches that to do good get good, to bad get bad.
But in the real practice:

1- Why a bad people alway live long time, more richer, more power etc.?

According to 5 Panchasila of the Buddha:
- Not to drink
- Not to steal
- Not to kill
- Not to mis a sexual conduct
- Not to tell alie

At the 1st point, not to drink it mean there were a domestic violence since that period.

2- How the Buddha educate people to avoid domestic violence because its violate the human right also?

Hi Deth,

Now, I see your other post.

It is an interesting question which is kind of hard to approach. First off, "good person" and "bad person" are a matter of perception of human qualities and therefore can vary from individual to individual. With this said, I agree that there are certain types of regulated behavior in Buddhism which differentiates right behavior from wrong behavior, and therefore makes someone in compliance or in violation of these precepts. I am not aware of any research on the life expectancy of those who follow the Buddhist precepts and those who don't. Nor am I aware of any statistics of whether the rich live longer than the poor, although this is much more understandable as the rich obviously have a higher quality of life with better access to healthcare, health and quality food, etc than the poor which increases their life expectancy. I am not sure if this has anything to do with the practice of Buddhist values though.

I am sure domestic violence was taking place at the time of Gotama, although it was not perceived as a criminal act, as it is perceived by most societies today, but rather a part of family life as it was back then. I believe the idea behind prohibiting the use of intoxicants was to keep the mind of Gotama's followers sober and in full control. I don't think the idea was to limit this ban to the consumption of alcohol, but generally any mind-altering substances.

Although the Pali Canon contains discourses on the husband-wife relationship and interaction, to the best of my knowledge, the Buddha doesn't address the issue of spousal abuse/domestic violence in any of them.

Hi Mrs. Deth
I want to share someting about your question regarding that why those who commit something bad live longer, richer and more power. I understand that in Buddha's teaching, he taught his followers about action produces the result. Why bad people seems to live longer? Sure for those who commit something bad, they receive good quality of life in the present time. According to the Buddha's teaching mentioned that those might had done something good in the past that is why he or she receives the result for now. So that he still rich and more power. That becasue they had save a lot of merits in the past. I can take one example to you in order to clarify it. Let say, you save 100$ per day and keep doing that for years and in the future you will have much much money to spend for next half life and it takes long time to spend it. So it is the same thing as what you ask. Because they had saved a lot in the past that is why they consume it today and the actions they are doing now will produce the result in the future.

Dear Sir,

Thank you so much for your comment it sound very interesting but in one idea of your comment does not answer my question which is you said that
"Nor am I aware of any statistics of whether the rich live longer than the poor, although this is much more understandable as the rich obviously have a higher quality of life with better access to healthcare, health and quality food, etc than the poor which increases their life expectancy. I am not sure if this has anything to do with the practice of Buddhist values though"
To my understanding about the aspect of Buddhist is who has done something to harm anyone, cheating on somebody, stealing anybody property are not a good things and this if they did thoes thing to someone, it sure will come back to them. So the word "bad people" means the person who did those thing but why they still live long happily with their life. What can you explain about this?

Dear Mr John,
I would like to share you the methoed to be effective meditation. Actually, there are many methods to do meditation and I can not grant you that to follow which method is more effective since I have told you that different masters have different method of practicing meditation. For example, one may take objective notice on the outgoing breath and in-going breath at the nostrill calmly and may be other masters take notice on the other object like taking a clay to count from one untill ten and repeat it until he or she can control their mind.
However, I woulk like to give u a try with the common method that most people practice and it is successflly for the most.
Here it is:
first you just spend 15 to 20mn to sit with your cross leg, and put the right hand on the left with erect body and bow alittle bit and then just take notice on the out-going breath and in-going breath at the nostrill. To notice it you have to realize that when it comes out long, you notice it is long and if it comes out short, you notice it is short. If it is hard to practice, you can count from one to ten and keep repeating it until you can control your mind.

Dear Mr. Menka,

Thanks for your comment. To reply to your comment, i still don't understand why are talking about saving in the past?

It could mean two meaning to your word. Do you mean the past refer to the last life? Or "past" refer to the last 10 or 20 years?
But if you past refer to the last live do you really believe that after people die, the spirit will come back to be a human? If so why you answer in the class when a student ask you about where the spirit goes after they die, why do you said you have no idea about it? Or Buddha tought to be a good person and they will receive a good thing is just a lie?

Surly, for my idea so far in our liberalism society, they do bad and can live for long life, but i'm sure that not too long they will get for the resulf of what they did, they is why we creat law in order to eliminate/punish thoes bad people. like rober/kidnaper for instance.
